Brevard County Florida Jail inmate Tommy Dixon, 49, was charged in February 2012 with underage sex — through a cellblock chute (pictured similar chute). Though serving time for cocaine and sexual battery convictions, Dixon was a trustee and had been given more freedom to roam the facility to handle chores like laundry and cleaning. Dixon had apparently been exchanging love letters with a girl, 17, incarcerated in an adjacent facility for minors. The only connection between the buildings was a chute in a cell in the infirmary used for passing items inmates. The two arranged a rendezvous on either side of that chute and consummated their love through the chute. He is charged with having sex with a minor.
