Top Ten New Year's Resolutions for 2012
1. Lose Weight
1. Lose Weight
A popular New Year's resolution for millions of Americans struggling with their waistlines, weight loss begins with a healthy diet and portion control.

Refraining from overeating is easier said than done, however. Take for instance Mary Ellen Lisee. On Christmas Day, 2011, the 45-year-old allegedly called 911 from her Fort Pierce, FL., hotel room and told the dispatcher, "I ate too much food." When police arrived, Lisee was allegedly jumping around excitedly, as her boyfriend made his way out, complaining that she was "talking too much." Police noticed a smell of alcohol on her breath. In a written statement, Lisee wrote the following: "My name is Mary Ellen Lisee. I have beaten, I believe in God, and He forgives me. I may joke, but I do not do crack. I will not for as long as I live." After refusing to swear the statement to be true, Lisee was arrested and charged with misuse of 911 and disorderly conduct.
