On June 27, 2005, Dennis Rader pleaded guilty to 10 counts of first-degree murder, admitting to a series of slayings that terrorized Wichita, Kan., beginning in the 1970s. The infamous BTK serial killer, whose nickname stood for his gruesome murdering method, "Bind, Torture, Kill," had been suspected of slaying at least eight people between 1974 and 1986.
